Angel Fire Resort, together with Red Bull and Bigfoot Productions, today officially announced the first-of-its-kind 12-hour, endurance downhill mountain bike competition. The event will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2008, at Angel Fire Resort in northern New Mexico. Branded “The Burner,” the competition will be open to any and all sport, expert and pro-class mountain bike riders, both men and women.

Whiteface 3rd Annual 5K Downhill Mountain Bike Race

With the first chunk of World Cup races on the books, it would be easy for riders to take a break before the next run of events: Mt. Ste. Anne, Bromont, Crankworx, etc. e.thirteen athletes, however, are definitely not relaxing between World Cups. On the contrary, they are out on the mountains, practicing hard and finding more podiums on which to stand.
