Dirt Jump Competition at the SF Bike Expo

The SF Bike Expo Crew is pleased to announce the addition of AT’s Showdown at the Cow Palace, a mountain bike dirt jump competition. Powered by Adidas and designed by Gravity Pro Andrew Taylor, it will begin with a launch off a Sea Container through the trees into some massive jumps. The jumps will be located next the expo in the middle of the Cross Palace CX Race.

GoPro Firmware Upgrade for GoPro 5MP Cameras

Just got word from the fine folks at Point of View Cameras that there is now a Firmware upgrade for the GoPro Hero Wide 5MP camera.

The new firmware version includes the following benefits:

- Improved auto exposure processing to help in extreme bright lighting conditions (like snow covered slopes)
- Allows camera to record to larger SD cards (up to 8GB) and you can now record up to 4GB in one file.

RockShox has worked diligently on the finer points concerning the updated Totem, the most exciting change being the addition of a new damper, Mission Control DH. Mission Control DH trades the floodgate in standard Mission Control for a high flow compression piston to optimize descent-oriented bump performance. RockShox SID® World Cup Evolves

Rockshox SID World Cup gets a significant update for model year 2010 affecting two parts of the SID chassis and shedding 110 grams. The crown and steerer evolved from the existing aluminum architecture to a hollow one-piece carbon fiber composition. The fork lowers are now full magnesium compared to the magnesium and carbon fiber combination found in the 2009 version. The all magnesium lowers continue to feature Power Bulges, which increase stiffness and bushing durability.

The third round of the Nissan World Cup action took place last weekend in the snow covered mountains of Vallnord, Andorra. Steve Peat and Sabrina Jonnier carried their momentum from last weekend’s World Cup in La Bresse, France and earned top spots in their respective categories. Fionn Griffith wins the Women’s 4X.

Steve Peat claims his second consecutive World Cup Downhill victory this past weekend at the Vallnord bike park in Andorra. This win marks Peat’s 17th career win, and bests the long standing record held by Nicolas Vouilloz.

Push Industries new web site

Just got word from Darren at Push Industries that they have a brand new web site, which went live last night. They now have an online store where you can place orders directly and comprehensive explanations for all the different suspension services they offer. While you're there, be sure to take the Facility Tour and check out their super sweet setup in Loveland Colorado - doesn't get much better than that.
