New 750mm FUNN Full On handlebars

With the ever growing demand for wider riser bars and since the fastest DH racer in the world exclusively uses Full On bars. I knew it would be a matter of time before FUNN introduced a bar wider than 28".
Well last week Mr. delivery man handed me this oversize box containing some swanky new bars! That’s right – the fine folks at FUNN sent me one of their new Full On 29.5” (750mm) riser bar!
Just like other FUNN Full On bars, the new 750mm riser is made of strong triple butted 7075-T6 aluminum. The bar will only be offered as 25.4 bar clamp diameter and 30mm rise.
8° back sweet and 5.5° up sweet, bead blasted with polish grip area and nice laser etched logos.
The new bar will make it's way in the US and Canada in late March. Will be available through QBP. Places like UK, AU, AZ, etc.. should see it in stock by the end of February.
Yeah I know many of you are thinking "Will it be offered in white? gold?" Unfortunately at this time the new 750mm FUNN Full On will only be available in black.
I don't have an exact price yet - but I've been told that it will be around the same price as their 710mm FUNN Full On bar. Contact your local FUNN distributor for exact pricing.

25.4mm is the racers choice hence in that size only. If anyone wants a joke then drop me an e-mail, i've got plenty!

I agree that when it comes to equipment - different strokes for different folks. I can also understand the frustration of not being able to get a certain bar because they only offer either 25.4 or 31.8 – so depending on what stem you run, it limits your choices. But to say one size is better over the other is pushing it a bit. Even if on paper one is supposed to be stiffer than the other – I certainly cannot tell the difference.

but 31.8 feels tougher and safer on big drops... like "oh damn, this bar is so huge, i don't think is going to break.."
but am riding 25.4 in one of my bikes and no problems at all, but i don't get that "tough" felling. (but didn't break as well)

25.4 just looks cleaner anyways... i've been riding a 25.4 on some pretty serious terrain for as long as i can remember, DJ and DH alike...
Are those markings 1cm apart Acadian? They look like they are. If they are and you cut both sides to the 740 mark, you'll actually be at 730mm...

one thing you mite not have noticd about sam hill is that he has very wide shoulders witch is y he runs wide bars...someone told me a cupple of years ago that you should try doing push ups with your hands at eny point wider than your shoulders. wich ever poin u lift with the most power and is esyist is wer you should cut your bars to. trust me it works

Just my 25.4 cents worth here...I know it's a different clamping style, wall thickness, etc.; but do yall know how large MX bars are? Also anyone note how large MX steerer tubes are? Fads are funny.
motocross bars and steertubes are tiny, but then again the steertube is very thick steel, and the bars are about 1/4" thick tubing
The 31.8 is just marketing bullshit, and maybe cheaper to produce a same strenght bar than 25.4 (cheaper tube with thicker wall). But not even MX ers use 31.8. And yes they have more travel in there suspension, butt look at the air pastrane and friends are hucking
bah! I have been running wide bars for years (as im a long armed freak) and ppl were allways taking the piss about the width now that sam hill runs them it's 'cool' what a bunch of fashion victims bikers are

just bought a pair of my first funn fatboy bars, I noticed the actual wall of the bar is quite thin compared to most dh bars. im sure there not going to break but has anyone been riding these bars and what are they like?

hahahah do you really think that sam's bars will make you as fast as him, he is just too damn good, and he still would be the fastest with shorter bars or 31.8,
just ride the bars your comfortable with, cause your not sam hill, so maybe the bars wont suit you

I have a few FUNN bars and yes the AL7075 triple butted bars are real thin wall thickness but strength to weight ratio of thsi material is second to none and i beleive the same as the Full On bar that Mr Hill and many others ride.
They came as 710mm standard and i had to cut them down as that too wide for me but i can fully understand the wider your shoulders the nicer it would feel to have wider bars.
Good on FUNN for try to make something for everyone and after all they say they are the same price as the 710mm so why complain as you can cut them down as you like!

I run 680mm and that's wider than my shoulders. Stand with your arms by your side and you'll see that the hands naturally sit wider.
The "bars-as-wide-as-your-shoulders" statement is bullocks. Anyone actually measured the width of their shoulders? You should be riding bars between 440-500mm if you where to stick to that... Myself I'm 6' and measure 460mm across the shoulders, and save the joke; I'm a perfectly built human being, riding 690 mm bars at the moment. And yes, I will get a pair of the 750mm FUNN bars to try it. I believe the wider bars give more momentum at high speed through the rough stuff, but for mountain bikes it is of course a trade off when it comes to riding tight sections in the woods. If we are to compare ourselves to MX, consider this: why are even the tiniest MX riders using 770-800mm wide bars? And why is the standard dia for a MX bar 22.2? Happy trails you guys, and remember to do the maths next time

well if ur talking about bigger an smaller sizes of bars, a direct connection could be made to why racers dont use 1.5 steerer tubes!
wide bars give you awesome control around corners and rough, skinny bars just suck through that, they do have better tree clearance though
