e.thirteen Athletes Start Strong in 2008

e.thirteen athletes made their mark internationally this past weekend, with podium appearances in the domestic race and freeride scene as well in the international freeride arena. It seems as though the podium is going to be a comfortable spot again for e.thirteen riders in 2008, especially with the official release of the worldwide patent pending direct mount bashring. The Sea Otter Classic is a great place for riders to test their new gear and their off-season training against the world's best. In addition to that, it's a great place for industry people and bicycle enthusiasts to gather and ogle over new product and videos. e.thirteen sponsored Clay Porter's new production F1RST opened to a packed crowd in Monterey. Clips from the movie have been posted online by e.thirteen over the months leading up to the release of the movie, and can still be found on e.thirteen's YouTube page. Kyle Strait nabbed the top spot in the Dual Stunt competition at Sea Otter, with the help of his LG-1 chainguide. Chain Reaction Cycles rider, Chris Kovarik scored 2nd in the downhill and Yeti Cycles's rider Justin Leov stepped up to the #3 spot, both using the new direct mount bashring on their LG-1 chain retention devices. The women downhillers made their mark as well, taking up three of the top four spots (NORCO's Fionn Griffiths placed 2nd, MAXXIS's Sabrina Jonnier placed 3rd, and Animal Commencal's Rachel Atherton placed 4th). Sabrina Jonnier made her mark in slalom as well, taking the top spot over Melissa Buhl. Fionn Griffiths and Rachel Atherton, who joined Sabrina on the downhill podium, were also on the dual slalom podium representing e.thirteen. On the other side of the world, e.thirteen freerider Paul Basagoitia was throwing down live on MTV in Duisburg, Germany. Kona's Basagoitia bested some of the world's best freeriders on live TV at the T-Mobile Extreme Playgrounds contest. The contest combined slopestyle obstacles with dirt jumps in an indoor hall that was combined with a rock concert, bringing in thousands of screaming fans. e.thirteen's freeride athlete contingent is gearing up for a heavy contest season in Europe, as the first Nissan Qashqai event kicks off this weekend in Milan, Italy. this is a press release. It is a stretch to call it news
Someone needs to rant about e13 ripping off MRP or vice-versa before this article is complete
eh the way i see it down the line they are probably both owned by the same people
this is just a big advert littered with a trickle of news, pinkbike must have got some cash for this. do you reckon these riders wouldnt have won using a mrp for example?
